Balboa at the Trouville

Bookings are open for our first, ever, residential balboa weekend at the Trouville Hotel, Sandown Isle of Wight, 22- 24 February 2019 with the wonderful Mickey Fortanasce and Anna-Marie Bernhardt.

The whole event will take place at:

The Trouville Hotel, 10 – 16 Esplanade, Sandown, Isle of Wight, PO36 8LB+44 (0)1983 402141,

22 – 24 February 2019

The Trouville hotel is situated centrally on Sandown’s seafront with views over Sandown and Shanklin bay.  There is a lift to all floors and we have reserved a number of double / twin
rooms with sea views.  Register early to secure a sea view!  Your weekend includes 2 nights half board (bed, breakfast and evening meal).  Lunch will be available to purchase from the hotel bar or if you would rather get a breath of sea air there are a number of eateries within a short walk of the hotel.

Is there parking at the hotel?
We have reserved a small number of parking spaces in the hotel car park which is situated behind (but not attached to) the hotel.  There is plenty of parking bays along the Esplanade in front of the hotel, which in February are free!  There is also a pull-in in front of the hotel where you can stop to offload your suitcases before you park.
Can I book a single room?
There are a small number of single rooms available with no supplement, however, single rooms do not have a sea view.  Once these rooms have been allocated further single rooms may be available at the hotels discretion and may incur a single supplement.  If a single room is important to you please register early to avoid disappointment.
Can I stay for extra nights?
We have negotiated a reduced rate of £45 pp for dinner bed and breakfast for Sunday night.  Please indicate on your registration form if you would like to extend your stay and we will provide you with a code for you to book direct with the hotel.

Can the hotel cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes, just let us know on your registration form and we will inform the chef.
How much is the Isle of Wight ferry crossing?
Your ferry crossing is included in the price as long as you have a minimum of 2 people (who are also attending the weekend) travelling in the same car.  If you are travelling on your own there will be a small surcharge of £28.
Which ferry can I use?
You have a choice of 3 ports – Portsmouth to Fishbourne (crossing time approx. 45 mins), Southampton to East Cowes (crossing time approx. 60 mins) or Lymington to Yarmouth (crossing time approx. 30 mins) .  You can travel from whichever port is more convenient for you.  Just indicate which port you wish to use on your registration form.
